Gregg Ginsberg
Now entering his seventh year driving a Dahl-Morrow International/Allsports Grand Prix CRX, Gregg has accomplished some impressive feats in his career.
Racing History
Gregg’s rookie year of 2003 demonstrated that he would be a force to reckon with. Running in both SCCA and NASA, Gregg was a consistent front-runner in both sanctioning bodies. That first year of racing, Ginsberg would win – his first race; the respect of his peers; and 2003 MARRS Rookie of the Year honors.
The next two years saw Gregg continued his winning ways and, though a front runner, bad luck hampered his quest for the MARRS championship. Gregg’s bad luck peaked at the end of 2006 when a struck throttle on a competitor’s car led to the demise of Gregg’s original race-winning CRX.
Ginsberg would be sidelined for the most of 2007 pending the construction of a new car that debuted on Labor Day of that year. In it’s inaugural race, Gregg brought himself and the new car to the checkered flag in second place. Ginsberg would race the car four times that year, earning two second place finishes. Ginsberg’s performance would draw the attention of Dahl-Morrow International who agreed to sponsor his efforts in the 2007 American Road Race of Champions.
2008 saw Gregg return with Dahl-Morrow International sponsorship, a healthy car and the backing of the Amigos. From the first green flag, Ginsberg was in the hunt for both race wins and the ITA MARRS Championship. When the final checkered flag of the 2008 MARRS season fell, Gregg’s performances earned him Runner-Up honors in the ITA Championship. Gregg would also compete in the 2008 American Road Race of Champions where he would finish seventh.
Currently competing exclusively in the Sports Car Club of America’s Improved Touring “A” class, Gregg hopes to improve on his 2008 performance in both the MARRS series and the American Road Race of Champions.
